5/19/2023 0 Comments Gapped definition![]() ![]() It gapped up even further after a big day, and there was a scramble for traders and investors to take profits soon after the market opened. Here is an example of a bearish gap in Nvidia stock: You can see how it had a strong run-up, and then a huge green day the day before it had that huge sell-off into the exhaustion gap. Bearish ExampleĪ bearish exhaustion gap is the opposite of a bullish one. It is a stock that gaps up which is sold into strongly. As soon the market opened the gap was bought up and the stock rallied strongly. At this point, all of the supply has dried up since the stock has dropped so much in a short period of time (in this case it was bad earnings) and it was due for a dead cat bounce. And then the stock gapped down, even more, the next day. Here is a bullish exhaustion gap example with Kroger stock: Notice how it has a huge red day right before the circled green candle. Here are examples of both: Bullish Exhaustion Gap ExampleĪ bullish exhaustion gap occurs at the end of a strong downtrend in a stock. There are two types of exhaustion gaps: Bearish exhaustion gaps, and bullish gaps. It is characterized by a strong counter-trend move in the opposite direction a stock has been trending in for prior days/weeks. An exhaustion gap is different from most gap ups or gap downs in that it quickly reverses from the direction the stocked gapped in. A gap refers to a stock that opens above or below its prior closing price. An exhaustion gap is a critical concept to understand when trading stocks at the market open. ![]() 5/18/2023 0 Comments Cheerio minecraft![]() ![]() ![]() If you want to scrape static pages that don’t require any interactions like clicks, JS rendering, or submitting forms, Cheerio is the best option, but If the website uses any form of Javascript to inject new content, you’ll need to use Puppeteer. Should You Use Cheerio or Puppeteer for Web Scraping?Īlthough you might already have an idea of the best scenarios, let us take all doubts out of the way. In web scraping, Puppeteer gives our script all the power of a browser engine, allowing us to scrape pages that require Javascript execution (like SPAs), scrape infinite scrolling, dynamic content, and more. It “ provides a high-level API to control headless Chrome or Chromium over the DevTools Protocol.” On the other hand, Puppeteer is actually a browser automation tool, designed to mimic users’ behavior to test websites and web applications. Although in small projects we won’t notice, in large scraping tasks it will become a big time saver. Because Cheerio doesn’t render the website like a browser (it doesn’t apply CSS or load external resources), Cheerio is lightweight and fast. However, Cheerio is well known for its speed. To select elements, we can use CSS and XPath selectors, making navigating the DOM easier. What is Cheerio?Ĭheerio is a Node.js framework that parses raw HTML and XML data and provides a consistent DOM model to help us traverse and manipulate the result data structure. Male Essex Skippers can also be identified by their shorter, straighter sex brands, which are parallel to the forewing edge (compared to the Small Skipper's longer brand being at an angle). ![]() Small Skipper underside antennae tips are rather variable, from orange brown to dark brown and can look as though they also have black tips, but with less sharply defined edges and the darkness extending above and below the tips. They can also be darker with an orange-brown patch adjoining the black tips. The antennae are often bright orange-brown above and paler underneath, with the black tip forming a sharp contrast. lt looks like the antennae tips have been dipped into black ink, leaving a stain on the undersides, but not the uppersides. The key identifying feature of an Essex Skipper are sharply defined, glossy black tips to the underside of each antenna. Therefore it can no longer be assumed that all small golden skippers are Small Skippers. ![]() Previously the Essex Skipper was extremely rare in Yorkshire so this was not an issue but it is now becoming more common and appears to be gradually moving north. The Essex Skipper is of often confused with the Small Skipper and it takes some practice to tell them apart. Their flight is fast and darting and the butterflies can be hard to see when nectaring or resting on flowers because of their brown-ish colour. Both males and females often rest in a characteristic 'skipper' fashion, with forewings held upwards in a V-shape, and hindwings horizontal. Male and females are alike except that males have a sex brand, which is a thin, black, slightly curving line on upper forewings. Freshly emerged specimens look very golden in sunlight, but look very drab when worn. The Essex Skipper, like the Small Skipper, is a small orange-brown butterfly, with a fat and short moth-like body. ![]() 5/18/2023 0 Comments Keykey hunk of meat![]() ![]() This recipe is validated by our culinary expert in Ghanaian cuisine, Freda Muyambo. In Ghana, kenkey can also replace bread to serve with stews of meat, fish or vegetables. In korkey cuisine, it is generally used as an accompaniment to vegetables such as squash or plantains. ![]() Kenkey is also popular in neighboring Ghana countries, such as Côte d’Ivoire, Togo, and western Benin, but it was also exported to Jamaica, where it is called dokono, and Guyana, where it is called konkee. The Fante people do not use dried corn husks to wrap kenkey but rather use plantain leaves. In Accra, there are merchants selling it everywhere. They are then transported to a flour mill where they will be milled and processed into dough. If kenkey is usually prepared from white cornmeal, it can also be made with dried corn kernels that are first soaked in water for several days to soften. Thus prepared, kenkey balls can be stored for a few days in the refrigerator and simply be steamed or placed in a microwave oven, or even frozen to be consumed later. The cooking water can also be consumed separately. The rest of the cooking consists in steaming for an hour and a half. The leaves must be tied together with a string to prevent them from opening under the effect of heat. The kenkey dough can then be divided into portions and these can be rolled into balls and placed in dried corn leaves. The second piece of dough is incorporated until the whole mixture is homogeneous. It is essential to mix it regularly to prevent the dough from sticking to the edges of the pot. ![]() The dough can then be divided in two and one of the two pieces will be cooked in a large pot of salt water brought to a boil. The kenkey dough is then covered with a cloth and must ferment for two days in a warm place. Water is gradually added at 100 F, until a smooth and homogeneous dough is obtained. White cornmeal is combined with cornstarch. The preparation of kenkey requires two days of fermentation, the preparation time in the kitchen is also important and therefore requires a little organization, so it is often prepared with the family. Kenkey is so popular in Accra, the capital of Ghana, that there is even a kenkey festival held once a year where you can taste kenkey in various ways with fries, stews and salads. ![]() It is also the main fermented food of Ghanaian cuisine. This dish is emblematic of the cuisine of Ghana, it is consumed throughout the year. It can be prepared in advance because it takes a long time to complete. The acidity of kenkey goes very well with fried fish. People also add shito, a sauce made from smoked fish and raw vegetables such as fresh peppers that bring a lot of freshness. Kenkey is often accompanied by fried fish throughout West Africa where fishing is widely practiced and where fish are generally eaten fresh and fried or dried or smoked for better preservation. The Fante tribe who lives in the center of the country calls it dokono. Kenkey is a typical Ghanaian dish made from fermented white corn, which is widely consumed throughout the country by Ga people from southern Ghana. ![]() 5/18/2023 0 Comments Easy diy hamster maze![]() ![]()
5/18/2023 0 Comments Baby tabby kittens![]() Many American shorthair cats demonstrate this pattern. The gene responsible for the coloring of a classic tabby is recessive. The legs, tail, and cheeks of a classic tabby have thick stripes, bands, and/or bars. ![]() Classic tabbies each have a light-coloured "butterfly" pattern on the shoulders and three thin stripes (the center stripe being darkest) running along the spine. Black tabbies generally have dark browns, olives, and ochres that stand out more against their black colors. 80% of modern-day cats have the recessive allele responsible for the classic pattern. The classic tabby, also known as blotched tabby, has the 'M' pattern on the forehead but, rather than primarily thin stripes or spots, the body markings are thick curving bands in whorls or a swirled pattern, with a distinctive mark on each side of the body resembling a bullseye. The dark lines on a Mackerel tabby's cheek Classic (blotched) tabby The four known distinct patterns, each having a sound genetic explanation, are the mackerel, classic, ticked, and spotted tabby patterns. The notion that tabby indicates a female cat may be due to the feminine proper name Tabby as a nickname of " Tabitha". Use of the term tabby cat for a cat with a striped coat began in the 1690s and was shortened to tabby in 1774. Tabby is also comparable to the Spanish word ataviar, which means "to decorate or to dress or wear" and often implies luxurious clothing. Such silk cloth became popular in the Muslim world and spread to England, where the word "tabby" became commonly used in the 17th and 18th centuries. This word is a reference to the Attabiya district of Baghdad, noted for its striped cloth and silk itself named after the Umayyad Governor of Mecca Attab ibn Asid. The English term tabby originally referred to "striped silk taffeta," from the French word tabis, meaning "a rich watered silk." This can be further traced to the Middle French atabis (14th century), which stemmed from the Arabic term عتابية / ʿattābiyya. One genetic study of domestic cats found at least five founders. The tabby pattern occurs naturally and is connected both to the coat of the domestic cat's direct ancestor and to those of their close relatives: the African wildcat ( Felis lybica lybica), the European wildcat ( Felis silvestris) and the Asiatic wildcat ( Felis lybica ornata), all of which have similar coats, both by pattern and coloration. The tabby pattern is found in many official cat breeds and is a hallmark of the landrace extremely common among the general population of cats around the world. ![]() ![]() "Tabby" is not a breed of cat, but a coat type seen in almost all genetic lines of domestic cats, regardless of breed.
